21.02.14

Hello!

I've been pretty busy ever since my last post. So, I'm gonna write a summary of what's been happening.

1) Simple Valentine's Day

Me and koibito didn't have a big do for Valentine's Day. It was just a normal Friday, literally. We ate at Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks for dinner and it was AWESOME! The food was really yummy! Another awesome thing is that - we didn't have to queue for a seat.

The Awesome Happy Box Set.

I saw so many couples; holding gifts, flowers and queuing up for a nice dinner. Initially, I wanted to book a seat at The Good Batch or Delicious, but I thought, meh, screw it. The prices were all hiked up and I can't guarantee the tastiness of the food.

After that, we watch Lego Movie. It was entertaining, cute and lame. Koibito loved it because he used to play Lego when he was a kid. As for me, I played Play-Doh lol. I found the movie alright.

That's Play-Doh - ultimate kid fun.

2) Interviews

After Valentine's Day, I've been pretty busy with attending interviews. I had 3 interviews in 3 days. One interview per day. I have attended 6 interviews in total and I learned a lot from it. Its good to attend more interviews because each interviewer is different and you get to see their perspective on things. I'm not a pro or anything, just sharing my experience :)

There are some scary interviewers too, so, prepare yourself. Lol.

3) Wisdom tooth pain

My wisdom tooth started hurting badly since Monday right until today. It caused my other teeth to hurt and I even got a headache. Also, I can't chew properly, so, solid/hard food is out of the question. The pain has also reduced my appetite but people still give me a lot of food to eat so my secret plan to lose weight has failed. Lol.

An X-Ray of my tooth.

I am gonna get my wisdom tooth extracted this coming Monday! ><

4) Shingeki no Kyojin! (Attack on Titan)

I've heard from many people about this anime but I was reluctant to watch it before. I was doubtful, skeptical, and my thoughts were; "How good is good?" and "Can it level up with Naruto?". One day I decided to give it a go and.............

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. NO EXCUSES. Lol.

Its such a good anime and the plot is really interesting. In some ways, it can level up with Naruto. What I like about Shingeki no Kyojin's anime is that, they don't waste time with fillers and historical past that only should be mentioned once. Naruto has tons of fillers and flashbacks, which can get boring after a while. The story for Naruto is really good now though. Lol.

And..........my favourite character from Attack on Titan is;

Okay there's two people here. Which one do you think it is?

Answer: Captain Levi of course! xD (There was no better image of him so I had to use this)

I finished all 25 episodes in 3 days. Currently, I started watching Hunter X Hunter :)

5) I AM GOING TO JAPAN

I am so excited! I have always dreamed of going to Japan! I couldn't go previously because my parents were super paranoid about the radiation, which is true of course - better to take precaution! But! My mum had a change of heart and thought and she allowed me to go! :D

I'll be going to Tokyo with my brother and will be bunking with my cousin who works there. I am so excited that I researched hard on where I would visit and what I would do in Tokyo - I even made my own itinerary. Tour guide much lol.

I just hope it won't be too cold nor snowing T^T

That pretty much sums up what's been happening in my life.

Topic change.

Here's a mega haul lol.

 A) Biore Bright Face Milk SPF 50 PA+++

I am a loyal user of Biore Sunblock/Suncreen. Their products are non sticky and non oily - I love it. I have been using Biore for years now and I'm skeptical to use other brands on my face. Also, Biore has a very wide range of Sunblock. I shall try them all! *evil laughs*

Outlet: Watsons, Guardian, Aeon Wellness, or any other Pharmacy
Price : RM20.90 (sale at Guardian)

B) Johnson's Baby Lotion Milk + Rice (500ML)

Let me introduce to you, Johnson's Baby Lotion latest product - Milk + Rice! Previously it was only milk. Rice sounds really Asian somehow lol. This is another product that I am loyal to; lotion and bath wash. The scent is heavenly! If you love milk and just want to drown yourself in it, this is suitable for you lol.

Don't assume that this baby lotion is just meant for babies - your whole family can use it! :)

Outlet: Watsons, Guardian, Aeon Wellness, and any other Pharmacy
Price : RM16.90 (sale at Mydin)

 C) KAPS Natural Insect Repellent

Okay, I didn't buy this for myself - koibito's mum did. At one point, the weather was soooooooo hot and dry that it made all these darn mosquitoes so active. I can't sleep in peace at night if I don't kill AT LEAST 4 BLOODY MOSQUITOES everday. I got loads of bites and it was really irritating. If you experience the same situation as me, get some repellent. It saved my life.

Also, spray your room or anywhere in your house with mosquito spray to let them die!

Outlet: Watsons, Guardian, Aeon Wellness, and any other Pharmacy

D) Nivea Body Intensive Moisture Serum SPF 25 PA ++ (300ML)

An awesome body serum that also has SPF. Perfect during day time since the weather is really hot these days. It also has a refreshing scent and non sticky texture!

Outlet: Watsons, Guardian, Aeon Wellness, and any other Pharmacy
Price : RM16.90 (sale at Guardian)

E) Hada Labo Deep Clean & Blemish Control Face Wash (100G)

My skin has been really bad for the past 2 weeks and I felt that my previous cleanser didn't help at all. Hence, I bought a new cleanser. What a perfect excuse lol.

I don't know if I see any major improvements but I do know it is helping bit by bit :) This product has a very foamy texture and also, fragrant free! Perfect for those with sensitive skin :)

Outlet: Watsons, Guardian, Aeon Wellness, and any other Pharmacy
Price : RM20.90 (sale at Watsons)

F) Nivea Body Lotion In Shower Skin Conditioner - Normal Skin

This is such an awesome invention! Perfect for lazy people like me xD Just shower like how you usually do, and after you have washed off your body wash/soap, apply this lotion like how you would apply. Rub it against your skin or massage, however you like it. Rinse it off and you're done!

You do not need to apply body lotion again after this. Its such a convenient product :D

Outlet: Watsons, Guardian, Aeon Wellness, and any other Pharmacy
Price : RM11.90 (sale at Guardian)

Bought myself a fake purse lol.

And some hair masks as well.

Moving on to clothes;

I've been experimenting with some Japanese fashion, and the perfect place to find Japanese fashion clothing at a cheap price is at Sungai Wang and Times Square. They are much much cheaper than other retail stores and they're the exact design. Look out for black tags with the words; Tokyo Trend.

Note: Not every piece of clothing shown below are from Sungai Wang or Times Square

Most of them are knitted sweaters - preparing for my Tokyo Trip lol. I still have some winter clothing from my time in Melbourne. Will mix them up :P

I know this post is rather lengthy but you have now reached the end of this post! :P

5 Handmade Valentine's Gifts

Here is another Valentine's post!

I just realised that Vday is just 2 days away from today! If you couldn't think of anything to give to your lover (only if you want to), why not make something instead? :D

Suitable for male and females :)

1) Valentines Card

The good ol' Valentine's card. Nothing beats creativity and originality! You can customise how big/small, how you want the card to look like, colour, fonts, and even your own secret message :P

2) Scrapbook

I think that scrapbooks would be a beautiful gift to receive and to give. I would love to receive one one day! >< I made a scrapbook for Melissa before on her 21st birthday. It took me quite a while to complete it because I was studying as well. Scrapbooks are just filled with love, creativity and EFFORT. The content of the scrapbook can be filled with - how you two met, what did you guys do on your first date, where would you both like to travel to, etc.

3) Home-cooked meal/Candle light dinner

This would be sooooo romantic xD Extra points if you cooked this meal by yourself! Don't just think that this is what guys would do for girls. Girls, do it for him too. He will see your effort, your love, and just how fabulous your cooking is! :D

4) Valentine's Vouchers

These vouchers can either be handmade by you, or you can find the suitable voucher set online and just print them out :) They spice things up and draws one another closer to each other. What a fun and interesting gift! Extra points if you handmade them yourself - you get to customise the content of the vouchers *wink wink*

5) Paper Flower Bouquet

Take the time and effort to learn how to make your own flower bouquet! This gift not only shows that you took the extra mile but, it can last way longer than a real flower bouquet!

I hope this post has been helpful to you lovebirds :)

I know I should have posted this earlier because handmade goods really require a lot of time and effort, but, I lost track of time lol ><

W-Fold Eyelids Liquid by Be Creation

Today's post will be a product review of W-Fold Eyelids Liquid by Be Creation.

I felt experimental to try something new - double eyelid glue. I suck in wearing double eyelid sticker so, I was hoping glue would be easier. And it is! :D

Product Info:
Origin: Made in Japan
Price : RM22.90
Outlet: Sasa, Aeon Wellness

The description on the packaging is all written in Japanese. My Japanese is not that advanced so, sorry there won't be an explanation! ><  I hope the images on the packaging helps!

The tip of the brush is very thin and slim, hence, allowing easy application.

How I wore it:
1) Wipe of excess oil and dirt off your eyelids
2) Use the "Y" fork provided to find your desired double eyelid
3) Apply the glue
4) Leave the glue on for 5-10 seconds on your eyelids
5) Use the "Y" fork to press in your double eyelid

For the final result!

I have double eyelids! Lol. I felt so strange because my eyes became really round and big. When I removed the glue, I couldn't recognise myself lol.

Application wise, it is very easy to apply and to remove the glue. Before removing, take a damp cotton and hover over the glue that are on your eyelids. After that, the glue will clump together and just fall off!

This is a picture of the before and after;

Left: After, Right; Before

I really think that there's a huge difference lol.

I don't have much information to provide about this product but I found a link that might help! You can check it out here.

Initially, I was keen to try Eye Talk (image below) but I thought it was rather pricy. If I'm not mistaken, it costs RM42.90. I don't know if I would pay that much for glue though I've read good reviews about it.

(Image from Google)

After all that's said and done, I need to be hardworking and not lazy to wear this double eyelid glue. Or not my money will go to waste! ><

I hope this post has been helpful in any way :)

10 Romantic Movies for Valentines 2014

Hello dearies! :D

Valentine's Day is just around the corner from today. Its exactly in 8 days! Have you planned your romantic date yet? :)

It was just Chinese New Year last week and now, Valentine's Day is next. Before I continue further, I wanna wish everyone a Happy Chinese New Year!

I'm still thinking on what I should do for koibito. We've never celebrated Valentine's Day nor bought gifts for each other before, so I hadn't thought much about it ><  But we're 2 years old now and I thought, a surprise wouldn't hurt ;) I think I'll make another post for this. Look out for it!

I believe that Valentine's Day shouldn't just be on the February 14th but it should be everyday! But since this day exists, why not go the extra mile?

If you're looking for a budget Valentine's Day date, a home-cooked meal with candles should do the trick ;) Don't forget to end it with a romantic movie to build up the mood! Hehe.

I'm really poor right now so this might do me good as well xD

I've come up with my own version of 10 Romantic Movies for Valentines 2014! Be aware; there are some movies in my list that are not advised for the age of 18 years and below. I will state them.

Let's begin! (Not in sequence)

1) One Day (2011)

Starring: Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess

After spending the night together on the night of their college graduation, Dexter and Em are shown each year on the same date to see where they are in their lives. They are sometimes together, sometimes not, on that day.

My comment: I enjoyed watching this movie because it felt so real in some ways. It shows two friends who fell in love but got separated by fate. This movie taught me to appreciate your loved one and time waits for no man. By the way, the actor is really hot! xD

2) Titanic (1997)

Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet

A seventeen-year-old aristocrat, expecting to be married to a rich claimant by her mother, falls in love with a kind but poor artist aboard the luxurious, ill-fated R.M.S. Titanic.

My comment: Okay, you might be thinking; Titanic? Seriously? YES SERIOUSLY. Its such a good movie. It definitely got into my list lol. I just watched it again this afternoon and I was crying my eyes out. Its so sad and romantic. I'm such a sucker for this xD If two people really love each other, what can stop them?

3) Love & other Drugs (2010)

Starring: Jake Gyllenhall and Anne Hathaway

A woman suffering from Parkinson's befriends a drug rep working for Pfizer against 1990s Pittsburgh backdrop.

My Comment: A beautiful movie about a woman suffering from an illness and a once playboy turned tables when his love for her grew. A sexy and romantic movie of hardship and hope. Its a must watch! (Not advised for 18 and below to watch)

4) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)

Starring: Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet

A couple undergo a procedure to erase each other from their memories when their relationship turns sour, but it is only through the process of loss that they discover what they had to begin with.

My comment: I thought this was a very good movie. Also, one of Jim Carrey's best acting in my opinion. It shows that if two people are meant to be, they are meant to be; not even lost memories can stop them meeting.

5) Knocked Up (2007)

Starring: Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen

For fun loving party animal Ben Stone, the last thing he ever expected was for his one night stand to show up on his doorstep eight weeks later to tell him she's pregnant.

My comment: A hilarious romantic comedy that involves a one night stand situation which turned into romance. Seth Rogen always cracks me up! xD

6) Don Jon (2013)

Starring: Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Scarlet Johansson, and Julianne Moore

A New Jersey guy dedicated to his family, friends, and church, develops unrealistic expectations from watching porn and works to find happiness and intimacy with his potential true love.

My comment: As expected of Gordon, a hilarious outcome! I enjoyed this movie because of the ending; there is such thing as romance and feelings :) (Not advised for 18 and below to watch)

7) Midnight in Paris (2011)

Starring: Owen Wilson and Rachel McAdams

While on a trip to Paris with his fiancée's family, a nostalgic screenwriter finds himself mysteriously going back to the 1920s every day at midnight.

My comment: A very interesting plot! Owen Wilson can somehow magically travel back in time to the 20s and he found himself a new lover whilst being engage. Confused from the time travelling and his new lover, he makes a decision at the end. A romantic movie that involves time travelling and the city of love; Paris.

8) Blue Valentine (2010)

Starring: Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams

The film centers on a contemporary married couple, charting their evolution over a span of years by cross-cutting between time periods.

My comment: A story about a couple who got married because of an unwanted pregnancy. There is a twist to the wife's past but Gosling bears it all. Ryan is hot no matter how uncle he looks like in this movie. Lol. Me and koibito fancies him very much! xD

9) Lars and the Real Girl (2007)

Starring: Ryan Gosling

A delusional young guy strikes up an unconventional relationship with a doll he finds on the Internet.

My comment: I really did not expect Gosling to star in a role such as this. It was hilarious! To see him taking care of his 'girlfriend' and be trapped in a delusion of reality and fantasy is funny enough! He's so cute somewhat xD

10) Punch Drunk Love (2002)

Starring: Adam Sandler and Emily Watson

A psychologically troubled novelty supplier is nudged towards a romance with an English woman, all the while being extorted by a phone-sex line run by a crooked mattress salesman, and purchasing stunning amounts of pudding.

My comment: This movie was quite different than the other Adam Sandler movies; its serious and true. This is Adam's best acting I reckon. Its a story about a guy who's stuck in his world but managed to find romance.

------

This concludes my list of 10 Romantic Movies for Valentines 2014.

Have you watched any of them? What do you think about them? :)

I wanted to include movies such as The Notebook, 500 days of Summer, A Walk to Remember and etc but I thought they were quite mainstream. Plus! Most of the movies I wanted to post were posted by my sister lol. You can check out her post - My Top 20 Romantic Comedies.

Till then, have a nice day! :D
